WHO ARE WE:

President Jalal Talabani Foundation (PJTF) is a non-governmental organization founded on 27-07-2022. The main principle of the foundation is preserving, collecting and archiving the life, works and writings of President Jalal Talabani to be recognized as a national heritage. The foundation field of activities cover the Culture, education, health and environment sectors that aims to play a vital role in improving the society through promoting and preserving cultural heritages and diversity, focusing on providing quality education and training and opportunities, raising academic and professional levels, improving the health and well-being of the society and promoting sustainable practices to protect the environment within Iraq as a whole and Kurdistan region in specific. We highly value and recognize the importance of local and international support and partnerships in achieving our foundation’s goals and mission.
We believe that the best service opportunities are collaborative, working side by side with others in nonprofit, community, and non-governmental organizations.
We are seeking community development project opportunities which enhance the quality of life in the community in all its different layers.

A conscious society where education, culture, environment, gender equality and human rights are all valued and protected.
This foundation is striving to become a go-to hub for educating, training, researching and advocating for freedom, human and cultural rights, and gender equality. It focuses on a sustainable development of humans, culture and society.

OUR MISSION:

To provide resources and facilitate achieving President Jalal Talabani’s vision for Iraq and Kurdistan through our programs and initiatives. We strive to empower our people level up their information with regards to their well-being, development and rights leading to a harmonious and sustainable future.

GOALS:

1. Preserving and collecting the archive of President Jalal Talabani being a national asset.
2. Developing the field and academic research on the thoughts, visions, life and policy of President Jalal Talabani.
3. Promoting freedom, human rights and gender equality in Kurdish and Iraqi society.
4. Promoting human values in the field of gender and the culture of coexistence within the Kurdish and Iraqi society.
5. The qualitative development of writing academic research on the approach and thoughts of President Jalal Talabani.
6. Seeking to raise the level of individual capacity in Iraq and Kurdistan Region.
7. Work to secure scholarships inside and outside the country.
8. Adopting October 3rd, the death anniversary of President Jalal Talabani as a national occasion.
9. Setting up a center for research, learning and training.
10.Fundraising to financially support our mission and implementing our objectives.
