On Tuesday, June 16, 2026, His Excellency Nizar Amédi, President of the Republic of Iraq, accompanied by Dr. Khalid Shwani, Minister of Justice of Iraq, participated in the opening ceremony of the President Jalal Talabani Foundation's office in Baghdad.
Ambassador Dr. Muhammad Sabir, President of the President Jalal Talabani Foundation, thanked the President of the Republic for his participation in the opening of the Foundation's office in Baghdad.
During the meeting, discussions were held regarding the Foundation's activities and programs in the cultural, social, and humanitarian fields. The participants also explored prospects for cooperation in supporting initiatives that serve citizens and contribute to strengthening the values of coexistence and solidarity among the diverse components of Iraqi society.
In another part of the meeting, the President of the Republic pointed out that the President Jalal Talabani Foundation represents a continuation of the national legacy of President Mam Jalal, who left a significant mark on Iraq's political life. He also emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to promote a culture of dialogue and mutual understanding and to support stability and national partnership.
The President of the President Jalal Talabani Foundation also reaffirmed that the principles and visions embraced by President Mam Jalal remain a guiding light for us in facing challenges, bringing the viewpoints of political forces closer together, and uniting efforts in a way that serves the interests of the country.
