The meeting aimed to discuss ways to enhance institutional cooperation and launch a joint action program in the fields of education, media, culture, and youth empowerment.

During the meeting, both sides agreed to develop a joint executive plan featuring a series of programs, training workshops, and specialized seminars. These initiatives will target students, youth, media professionals, and civil society organizations in Baghdad and Sulaymaniyah, aligning with UNESCO’s priorities and the President Jalal Talabani Foundation’s mission to support human development and capacity building.

The areas of cooperation include: the responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence (AI); media and information literacy and combating misinformation; digital security and preventing cyber-blackmail; environmental protection and climate change; peacebuilding and promoting a culture of coexistence; youth empowerment and leadership skills development; safeguarding cultural heritage; and consolidating the principles of digital citizenship, alongside developing communication, media, and meaningful digital content creation skills.

Both parties emphasized that this partnership represents a major step toward implementing high-quality, sustainable programs. These initiatives will help raise social awareness, build youth capacity, and anchor the values of dialogue, innovation, and development to serve society and keep pace with global knowledge and technological transformations.
