Kirkuk Hosts Book Launch on Late President Jalal Talabani’s Political Legacy and Peace Efforts

On Monday, July 20, 2026, the President Jalal Talabani Foundation, in partnership with the Jimhuri (Republic) Street Salon, hosted a launch, distribution, and book-signing event in Kirkuk for the new book Mam Jalal: The Catalyst for Peace in Post-Saddam Iraqi Political Stability. The publication is an academic study authored by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ranjdar Muhammad Aziz and published by the President Jalal Talabani Foundation.

The event opened with remarks from Rezhan Hassan, Director of Archives at the President Jalal Talabani Foundation, who highlighted the foundation's work and activities. Following this, the author, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ranjdar Muhammad Aziz, explained the objective of the book and shared details with attendees regarding its publishing process and the significance of its contents. Writer and journalist Stran Abdullah also provided a detailed, comprehensive overview of the book's contents, underscoring its importance.
