Jalal Talabani International Airport is a Symbol of Reconstruction and a Vital Lifeline for Sulaymaniyah's Development 

On Wednesday, August 19, 2026, Ambassador Dr. Mohammad Sabir, Chairman of the President Jalal Talabani Foundation, accompanied by Mrs. Shanaz Ibrahim Ahmed, Member of the Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, visited Jalal Talabani International Airport. They were received by Mr. Rebaz Mohammad Khalil, Acting Director of Jalal Talabani International Airport.

During a meeting held to closely observe the progress of work and the quality of services provided, both sides met with the airport director and administrative staff. In another segment of the meeting, they showed their full willingness to assist in resolving the challenges facing airport operations, ensuring the delivery of the best possible services to citizens and tourists.
