A delegation from the President Jalal Talabani Foundation – Baghdad Office visited the Iraqi Media Network, where they met with the head of the network, Mr. Kareem Hammadi. The two sides discussed prospects for joint cooperation and advancing media and training sectors to support youth potential and enhance professional skills in the media industry.
The meeting explored the possibility of drafting and signing a joint Memorandum of Understanding between the President Jalal Talabani Foundation and the Iraqi Media Network. This agreement aims to open broader horizons for cooperation across media, cultural, and training fields, as well as deliver specialized programs to develop the capabilities of graduates and aspiring media professionals.
Both parties highlighted the importance of leveraging the expertise and resources available at the Media Training Institute of the Iraqi Media Network—particularly in training graduates from various media departments and disciplines. This would be achieved through professional courses combining theoretical knowledge and practical training supervised by a select group of media experts and specialists, alongside hands-on training inside the Iraqi Media Network’s studios in Baghdad and accredited certificates for participants.
This initiative aligns with the President Jalal Talabani Foundation's commitment to building effective partnerships with national institutions, investing in youth and graduates, and providing authentic pathways for them to gain professional experience and upgrade their skills to meet the demands of modern media.
For his part, Mr. Kareem Hammadi, head of the Iraqi Media Network, expressed the network's readiness to strengthen cooperation with the President Jalal Talabani Foundation and move toward signing a joint MoU, thereby consolidating the partnership between both sides and laying the groundwork for sustainable media and training initiatives.
