A delegation from the President Jalal Talabani Foundation – Baghdad Office visited Al-Ma'moon University and met with Prof. Dr. Salah Al-Shammari, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, to explore prospects for institutional cooperation. The meeting aimed to strengthen partnerships across academic, training, and cultural fields while opening new avenues for student and youth capacity building and skill development.
The two sides discussed practical mechanisms for establishing a sustainable, long-term partnership, culminating in an agreement to proceed with signing a joint Memorandum of Understanding. This agreement will serve as a framework for implementing specialized programs and projects—primarily focusing on student training, professional skill development, and career readiness, alongside organizing joint training workshops, academic and cultural events, and knowledge exchange.
Both parties emphasized that the cooperation should transcend traditional agreements into an active institutional partnership. This vision will translate into tangible initiatives and programs that empower students, strengthen the bridge between academic education and labor market needs, and foster a generation equipped to contribute effectively to professional and community development.
This step aligns with the President Jalal Talabani Foundation's strategy to expand its network of partnerships with academic institutions, build effective channels of collaboration, support higher education, empower youth capabilities, and translate knowledge into sustainable, community-serving opportunities.
