On Saturday, October 11, 2025, Dr. Muhammad Haseeb, the President of Koya University, visited the Mausoleum of President Mam Jalal. He was received by His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Muhammad Sabir, President of the President Jalal Talabani Foundation, and Mr. Yousif Zozani, Vice President of the Foundation, in the presence of the office of the Secretariat of President Mam Jalal.
The visit by Koya University aimed to renew its loyalty and appreciation for President Mam Jalal, who founded the university on this day. Today, it has become a distinguished cultural, academic, and scientific edifice.
The President of Koya University laid a wreath of flowers at the Mausoleum and recited Surah Al-Fatiha for the pure soul of President Mam Jalal.
In a speech delivered during the commemoration ceremony, Dr. Muhammad Haseeb expressed his profound gratitude to President Mam Jalal for founding the university and for his significant and influential role in supporting it. He pledged to continue working and advancing the university as one of the active contributors to its development, stating: “We are here to stand in appreciation and gratitude for the immense contributions of President Mam Jalal towards Koya and its university.
