On Thursday, October 16, 2025, Colonel Sebastian Klink, Commander of the German Military Forces in the Kurdistan Region, along with a CIMIC delegation of his aides, visited the mausoleum of President Mam Jalal. They were received by Ambassador Dr. Muhammad Sabir, President of the President Jalal Talabani Foundation, and members of the Secretariat Bureau of President Mam Jalal.
During the visit, the Commander laid a wreath at the mausoleum of President Mam Jalal as a gesture of appreciation and respect. He also wrote in the visitors’ book, expressing his sentiments and honoring the memory of the late president.
For his part, Ambassador Dr. Muhammad Sabir presented an overview of President Jalal Talabani's political and struggle journey, outlining the key stages of his life leading up to his presidency of the Republic of Iraq.
The President of the Foundation also explained that the President Jalal Talabani Foundation continues its work in archival, cultural, scientific, and intellectual fields, emphasizing that “this Foundation follows the path of President Mam Jalal in its mission and dedication.”
At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Muhammad Sabir addressed the German Commander, stating:
“In addition to your military support for Iraq, we hope you will provide further assistance in the humanitarian, cultural, and intellectual fields. We highly value your cooperation and will not forget your honorable stances.”
