On Sunday, December 7th, 2025, Ambassador Dr. Muhammad Sabir, President of the President Jalal Talabani Foundation, and Mr. Yousif Zozani, Vice President of the Foundation, received a German delegation consisting of:
Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Volker, the Cultural Advisor of the Commander of German forces in the Kurdistan Region.
Major Louisa Romer, the new Cultural Advisor of the Commander German forces.
In a meeting, after welcoming the delegation, Ambassador Dr. Muhammad Sabir spoke about the President Jalal Talabani Foundation, stating:
"The President Jalal Talabani Foundation is a non-governmental, independent, non-profit, cultural, humanitarian, and national institution that works on preserving, and archiving the life and struggle of President Jalal Talabani."
The President of the Foundation added:
"The Foundation places increasing emphasis on developing research and academic fields related to the thought and policies of President Jalal Talabani, and on improving the quality of academic studies about his methodology and visions and publishing them."
In another part of the meeting, discussions were held concerning the relations and mutual cooperation between the President Jalal Talabani Foundation and Germany, in addition to discussing the general situation in the region and current events and changes in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.
The Cultural Advisor of the Commander of German forces noted with interest the role of President Mam Jalal in Iraq, the Kurdistan Region, and the world in building strong relations between the Kurdish people and the Federal Republic of Germany and other nations.
For their part, the German delegation expressed their happiness at visiting and reconnecting with the President Jalal Talabani Foundation, confirming that joint cooperation and coordination will continue in the fields of health, media, economy, training, and in retrieving President Mam Jalal's archives from Germany.
