On Saturday, December 13, 2025, Rezhan Hassan, Head of Archives of the President Jalal Talabani Foundation, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of the Foundation with the Kurdish Association for External Political Affairs in Berlin.
The memorandum emphasizes cooperation and collaboration between the two parties in collecting documents related to President Jalal Talabani in European countries, particularly Germany.
Another provision highlights cooperation and collaboration in collecting documents related to Kurdistan and the Kurdish people that hold archival value as part of the national archive.
Regarding joint activities, the memorandum states that the two parties will coordinate to participate in international activities and conferences related to cultural and intellectual work in the fields of history, language, cultural policy, archives, education, and the environment in Germany.
A further clause refers to establishing connections with Kurdish and German organizations to carry out joint initiatives in fields such as human development, environment, education, health, archives, and documentation, or any other area consistent with the working policies of both parties.
The Kurdish Association for External Political Affairs works to connect Kurdish cultural initiatives and promote cultural policy and development in Germany.
