As part of expanding international scientific relations, on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, Ambassador Dr. Muhammad Sabir, President of the President Jalal Talabani Foundation, and his accompanying delegation paid an official visit to the Complutense University of Madrid in the Kingdom of Spain, one of the most prestigious universities in Spain and internationally.
During a meeting between the Foundation's delegation and Ms. Eva López, Head of the Office of International Relations, with the participation of Ms. María José Cerna, Head of the International Agreements Department, discussions focused on ways to develop academic cooperation and exchange scientific expertise. The Foundation's vision for supporting students and youth, and facilitating study opportunities for students from the Kurdistan Region through international partnerships with the university, was also presented.
In another part of the meeting, coordination and joint work between the two sides were discussed in the areas of workshops and training courses, with the aim of raising academic standards and strengthening relations between the two institutions.
