A Message from the President Jalal Talabani Foundation on International Workers' Day

On the occasion of Workers' Day, May 1st — International Workers' Day — we extend our warmest greetings to all workers in Kurdistan, Iraq, and around the world. We wish them safety and the realization of their rights.
President Mam Jalal stated in a speech on Workers' Day in the year 2000: "Workers' Day should be an occasion for you to develop your struggle, so that we and others will listen to your demands. Always speak out about your demands. Always strive to have us fulfill as much as possible for you, and we will do as much as we can for you."
The position and role of workers in development, nation-building, and progress — in both the public and private sectors — are significant and influential. Workers are regarded as a constructive and productive class.
Workers' unions must advocate more firmly for workers' rights and demands. At the President Jalal Talabani Foundation, we firmly support the achievement of workers' rights and the improvement of their living conditions.
Salute to the pure souls of the workers who gave their lives for the prosperity and reconstruction of the nation.
