The First International Scientific Conference on President Jalal Talabani at the University of Sulaimaniyah

The President Jalal Talabani Foundation, in cooperation with the University of Sulaimani and the universities of (Koya, Raparin, Halabja, Garmian, Sulaimani Polytchnic University, Garmian Polytechnic University, Komar, Tishk International, Qaiwan International, Cihan, and Charmo University), and under the slogan:
"President Mam Jalal: Truth and Historic Stances,"
is organizing the first international scientific conference on President Jalal Talabani.
The conference is held under the supervision of Ambassador Dr. Muhammed Sabir, President of the President Jalal Talabani Foundation, and Professor Dr. Kosar Muhammad Ali, President of the University of Sulaimani, on October 3 and 4, 2025, in the conference halls of the University of Sulaimani, coinciding with the eighth anniversary of the passing of President Mam Jalal.
The conference addresses nine scientific themes, the most prominent of which are:
* The biography and leadership personality of President Mam Jalal.
* His political and revolutionary thought.
* His role in establishing the rule of law.
* His contributions to enhancing the status and rights of women.
* His impact on consolidating stability and political balance in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.
* His contributions to the field of higher education and scientific research.
* His role in defending the rights of the Kurdish people in all four parts of Kurdistan, and the rights of minorities in Iraq.
* His support for the democratic process, human rights, and media and press freedom in the Kurdistan Region.
* His political and diplomatic impact on the regional and international levels.
Day One (October 3, 2025):
In the afternoon, a special ceremony will be held in the conference hall presided over by the University of Sulaimani.
Day Two (October 4, 2025):
* At 9:30 AM, attendee registration begins.
* At 10:00 AM, the conference is inaugurated and several scientific panel sessions are held.
* During the conference, over 20 scientific research papers will be presented on the political thought of President Mam Jalal, his role in the peace process, democracy, human rights, as well as his contributions to Kurdish-Iraqi-Chinese relations, and his efforts in protecting coexistence in Kirkuk.
The sessions will be held in halls (B, C, D, E, F) at the University of Sulaimani, and the research will be presented in three languages: Kurdish, Arabic, and English.
At the conclusion of the conference, the results and recommendations will be presented by Professor Dr. Muhammad Amin Abdullah Tatani, then participation certificates will be distributed to the researchers, and the conference will be officially closed.
It is also worth noting that on October 3, 2025, the Seventh International Book Fair in Sulaimani - President Talabani Edition, will be opened on the occasion of the anniversary of his passing.
