The Sulaimani International Book Fair – President Talabani Edition Opened

On Friday, October 3, 2025, the Sulaimani International Book Fair – President Talabani Edition was officially opened with the participation of Mr. Qubad Talabani, Head of the Bureau of the Secretariat of President Mam Jalal; His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Muhammad Sabir, President of the President Jalal Talabani Foundation; Mrs. Shanaz Ibrahim Ahmed, the First Lady of Iraq; Mr. Hama Hama Saeed, Minister of Culture and Youth of the Kurdistan Regional Government; and Mr. Haval Abubakr, Governor of Sulaimaniyah.
This year’s fair is distinguished by the significant participation of the President Jalal Talabani Foundation along with local and international institutions, making it broader and more diverse than previous editions.
Millions of books and hundreds of thousands of titles in different languages are on display. The fair will welcome book lovers for 11 days, from October 3 to October 13, 2025.
