The Sulaimani International Book Fair Extends Gratitude and Appreciation to the President Jalal Talabani Foundation

On Sunday, October 12, 2025, the tenth day of the Sulaimani International Book Fair, the organizers extended their gratitude and appreciation to the President Jalal Talabani Foundation in recognition of its support and active participation in the fair.

During a special ceremony held for this occasion, the organizers expressed their profound gratitude to the Foundation, acknowledging its cooperation and distinguished contributions to the events of the Sulaimani International Book Fair. Special thanks were also extended during the ceremony to the Ministry of Culture and Youth of the Kurdistan Regional Government for its cooperation and support of the Foundation.

Earlier, on Friday, October 3, 2025, the Sulaimani International Book Fair opened its special edition dedicated to President Jalal Talabani. The inauguration was attended by Mr. Qubad Talabani, Head of the Secretariat Bureau of President Mam Jalal; Ambassador Dr. Muhammad Sabir, President of the President Jalal Talabani Foundation; Mrs. Shanaz Ibrahim Ahmad, First Lady of Iraq; Mr. Muhammad Hama Saeed, Minister of Culture and Youth of the Kurdistan Regional Government; and Mr. Haval Abubakr, Governor of Sulaymaniyah.

This year’s fair stands out for its distinctive character, marked by the active participation of the President Jalal Talabani Foundation alongside local and international institutions, lending the event greater diversity. The fair showcases millions of books and hundreds of thousands of titles in various languages. It continues for eleven days, from October 3 to October 13, 2025, welcoming book lovers and all those interested in culture and thought to the Sulaimani International Book Fair – the President Jalal Talabani Edition.
