The 7th Sulaimani International Book Fair – The President Jalal Talabani Edition Concludes Successfully

After eleven consecutive days of welcoming readers and book lovers, the fair concluded on its final day with a press conference for journalists participating in the event.

At the concluding press conference, Karwan Rasul, Director of Media at the President Jalal Talabani Foundation; Hassan Rahim, Coordinator of the Sulaimani International Book Fair; and Nauzad Abdulaziz, Advisor at the Ministry of Culture and Youth in the Kurdistan Regional Government, delivered closing speeches, during which the key outcomes of the fair were presented to the media.

On Friday, October 3, 2025, the Sulaimani International Book Fair – The President Jalal Talabani Edition – was inaugurated. The opening was attended by Mr. Qubad Talabani, Head of the Secretariat Bureau of President Mam Jalal; Ambassador Dr. Muhammad Sabir, President of the President Jalal Talabani Foundation; Mrs. Shanaz Ibrahim Ahmad, First Lady of Iraq; Mr. Muhammad Hama Saeed, Minister of Culture and Youth of the Kurdistan Regional Government; and Mr. Haval Abubakr, Governor of Sulaymaniyah.

This year’s fair was distinguished by the active participation of the President Jalal Talabani Foundation alongside local and international institutions, giving it a more diverse and enriching character. Millions of books and hundreds of thousands of titles in multiple languages were displayed.

The fair lasted for eleven days, from October 3 to October 13, 2025, welcoming reading enthusiasts to the Sulaimani International Book Fair – The President Jalal Talabani Edition.
