On Tuesday, April 21, 2026, Ambassador Dr. Muhammad Sabir, President of the President Jalal Talabani Foundation, signed a memorandum of understanding with Ahmad Hassan, Head of the Raparin Youth Organization.
The President Jalal Talabani Foundation is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit, cultural, humanitarian, and patriotic organization that works to introduce, archive, and preserve the life and struggle of President Jalal Talabani. President Mam Jalal had full confidence in the abilities of young people and in their role and influence on the future and development of the country, and he always believed that youth can change society for the better. For these reasons, the President Jalal Talabani Foundation signed a memorandum of understanding with the Raparin Youth Organization, which is a non-governmental, non-profit organization working in the field of developing the skills and competencies of youth across Kurdistan.
The memorandum states: “Enhancing the capabilities of young people in various fields by providing opportunities to participate in courses and workshops, especially in professional fields.”
It also mentions: “Creating opportunities for young people to develop in the fields of politics, international relations, and diplomacy.”
Another part of the memorandum states: “Providing opportunities to establish connections between the Raparin Youth Organization and scientific and academic centers inside and outside Kurdistan through the President Jalal Talabani Foundation.”
It also notes: “Working to reduce unemployment among young people, preparing them to enter the job market, providing practical courses with expert instructors, and supporting them in starting their own careers according to their abilities.”
The memorandum emphasizes the importance of “working in the field of environmental activities, reflected in organizing campaigns and initiatives to protect the environment, such as cleaning public places and raising environmental awareness.”
This memorandum will be in effect for a period of two (2) years and may be renewed with the consent of both parties.
