President Jalal Talabani Foundation extends congratulations on the occasion of Yezidis' Red Wednesday

On the commemoration of the Yezidis' New Year, Charshama Sor (Red Wednesday), we extend our warmest congratulations to our Yezidi sisters and brothers in Kurdistan and Iraq. We hope that this anniversary marks the beginning of an end to the miseries and bitterness experienced by the Yezidis, promoting a spirit of coexistence with all other beliefs in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, and accelerating the reconstruction of Sinjar and the towns and villages inhabited by Yezidis, thereby normalizing life in their homeland.

We also hope that the crimes and massacres against Yezidis are recognized as genocide by international organizations, and that the relatives of the victims receive material and moral compensation.
