German Forces Commander in Kurdistan Region Visits President Mam Jalal’s Mausoleum

On Wednesday, July 2, 2025, Colonel Peter Cooper, Commander of the German Forces in the Kurdistan Region, along with Lieutenant Colonel Volker Thomas, the Cultural Advisor of the force, and their accompanying delegation, visited President Mam Jalal’s mausoleum in Sulaimaniyah. They were warmly received by Ambassador Dr. Muhammad Sabir, President of the President  Jalal Talabani Foundation, and members of the President Mam Jalal Secretariat staff.  

Colonel Cooper placed a wreath of respect and loyalty on President Mam Jalal’s tomb and wrote in the memorial log: "We were honored to visit President Mam Jalal’s mausoleum in Sulaimaniyah today. It is essential to uphold his legacy and ideas."

Following the tribute, Ambassador Dr. Muhammad Sabir highlighted key stages of President Mam Jalal’s political and activist life, presenting photographs and discussing the ongoing work of the President Jalal Talabani Foundation in preserving archives and promoting culture and knowledge.
